Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GroupBanner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including administrators and team members.

2. Description of Service

GroupBanner is a team banner management platform that enables organizations to update LinkedIn profile banner images for their team members. The Service includes:

• A web application for managing banners, teams, and assignments
• Integration tools for syncing LinkedIn session data
• Backend services that update LinkedIn banners on behalf of authorized users

3. Accounts

To use GroupBanner, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

Account administrators are responsible for the actions taken on behalf of team members within their organization's account.

4. User Consent and Authorization

By connecting your LinkedIn account and using the Service, you explicitly authorize GroupBanner to:

• Access your LinkedIn session cookies for the purpose of updating your profile banner
• Make API requests to LinkedIn on your behalf to change your profile background image
• Store your LinkedIn session data on our servers

You may revoke this authorization at any time by disconnecting your LinkedIn account. Team members consent to having their banners updated by their account administrator when they join a GroupBanner account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload banner images that contain offensive, misleading, or infringing content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect LinkedIn data beyond what is necessary for banner updates
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. LinkedIn Relationship

GroupBanner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to LinkedIn Corporation. The Service uses LinkedIn's platform to update profile banners. LinkedIn may change their platform, APIs, or terms at any time, which could affect the Service's functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to LinkedIn features.

You acknowledge that your use of GroupBanner must also comply with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.

7. Pricing and Payment

GroupBanner is free for accounts with up to 25 users. For accounts exceeding 25 users, a fee of $1 per user per month applies. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice. Payment terms:

• Billing is based on the number of active users in your account
• Payments are processed monthly
• We may suspend service for accounts with overdue payments

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by GroupBanner. You retain ownership of all banner images you upload. By uploading images, you grant GroupBanner a limited license to store and transmit those images for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

GroupBanner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

• Any disruption to your LinkedIn account resulting from use of the Service
• Changes to LinkedIn's platform that affect the Service's functionality
• Loss of data due to technical failures
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will cease immediately
• We will delete your data within 30 days
• Your LinkedIn banner will remain as last set — we do not revert it

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
